The storm has slowed it westward track from 15 mph to 13 mph the past 36 hrs. Not sure if that was expected but it could be significant in the timing of the troughs over the US affecting it or not

Keep in mind it's probably best to get resources NOW because in a few days it's going to be harder. You don't want to be caught with your pants down if it does hit in his area because I'm not sure how much government aid is going to come along considering how bad Harvey was. It happened in Rita here most of the focus was on Katrina and WLA did not get the aid they needed in that storm right after it hit. My dad worked aid over there and I heard tons of horror stories about it.

It's a possibility because the storm has so much uncertainty on the path it's going. It has a pretty ridiculous cone of error that stretches the GOM to the east coast. There's not enough confidence in where it's going and models have badly projected several things about this storm. It also keeps shifting westward.

Prepping for it here in the Tampa area. Will be the first major storm we have faced since we moved to Florida in May.
