If you're still needing help on this feel free to email me at jelleaux2 @ gmail. My close friend is handling all these sorts of claims for his law firm and its a really fair deal they are offering (only a fee on anything extra they can get you). I can give you his contact info if you are interested.
Based on what he’s told me Southern Fidelity is one of the worst offenders this storm.

I have kids… I’m great at ignoring little aholes. lol! #joking
I’ve heard of that attorney’s office. I know for sure they handle auto accidents. I’ll do some digging in recovery experience. Our area hasn’t had this kind of damage in over a decade.
You are appreciated! Thank you!

I've been very fortunate with my insurance.
I do have some friends going what you are going throigh. They got action done by CCing the Louiskana Insurance Commissioner on all emails.
As far as the mortgage company they need to release the money to get you started.

Grow some balls and call and email two to three times a day.
cc their supervisor and their supervisors supervisor on every email if you have it as well as the public adjuster

I will start doing this. Issue it the public adjuster told me not to context my insurance company and let them handle it. Thing is I don’t think they are handling it.
Thank you!

They will screw you because they can. Louisiana law is something we would have killed for in Katrina. You are probably going to have to get a lawyer bro

Went through this with Laura. Basically 2 scenarios either your insurance company paid or they didn’t. If they didn’t hire an attorney ASAP. Probably would have been better to hire an attorney and not the public adjuster but that’s done now.
Just some advice from one nice guy to another. You’re gonna have to stop being nice. Play hard ball. I didn’t have to hire an attorney but didn’t have that much damage and my insurance company paid. I know several close friends that had to hire an attorney and they all came out way ahead but it took a while to get everything fixed. You’re in a long game here if you have the type of damage it sounds like you had. If you try and play the long game with short game tactics the insurance company will win. If you can be patient and play hard ball you’ll be better off.

Hire a lawyer! That always gets their attention. I learned during Katrina that they will screw you over until you get a lawyer to represent you.

Stay away from public adjusters. They charge more than the insurance company will pay, they are leeches and scum. There are plenty of adjusters/managers etc on this board who can walk you though this process. First thing you need to do is get the mortgage to release funds, call and ask them what they will require. Mortgage companies will put that in escrow to make money and it makes it tough on you. Contractors usually understand.
Good luck man.
