Today was such a beautiful day. I’m glad New Orleans canceled school so we could enjoy the day.

I'm in Pass Christian to help out my Aunt and uncle. I closed some, but not all, of the storm shutters this afternoon. I got a little sunburned. A squall passed around noon. It's drizzled once since then. Just starting to get whitecaps on the waves in the last hour. Gordon might have weak sauce.

Be sure to stock up on beer and snacks from the gas station across the street before the curfew starts. Then put out a call for any of the LLOTOT who may need to seek shelter with you.

Just got off the beach in Gulf Shores. Minimal rain and just a few gust. Tide is not as high yet as I thought. Still 75-100 yards to the dunes.

What storm surge level in Mobile Bay is required to flood and or close the Causeway?

This lopsided 1000 mb tropical storm is a direct result of global warming.

, same where I'm at. It takes a tropical system right off the coast to get the nicest weather we've had all summer.

Besides the twenty minutes of squalls, #neverforget, in BR it's been about perfect. 80s. Nice cool breeze from east.

It doesn’t take much. It will no doubt flood in this storm.

Whole state has been fine, except for a decent little line that came west on I12 this afternoon. Looks to continue that way.

It's nice being outside the front left quadrant for a storm. It sucks in more pleasant air from the north.
