40 to 50 mph. I know it's not over but it was worse for Matthew for us.

Prayers to my friends along NC coast.

Been quiet here in North Myrtle for the past 90 minutes. Lost power around 5pm.

Home security camera is back up. Power has gone off and on a couple times throughout the afternoon. Looking at and listening at the camera, wind is maybe gusting to 25 and it is raining but it doesn't look heavy. Talked to my wife in Lake City and it seems to be the same over there.

All I can say is people had time to evacuate (5-7 days) and they are putting other civilians at risk. I bet they wish they had left....

rds, if you've got a link to a 24-36 hour radar loop, I'd like to make a gif. I want to see just how much rain was training over Atlantic Beach. I can make a chain of gifs from a site I found that has chunks of radar, but no continuous loop.

Isaac is actually very concerning because it's showing resiliency against shear. I have a feeling the next run on the computers are going to show it strengthening and turning.

Isaac is currently shedding all the deep convection from earlier. Maybe storms fire back up tonight or maybe it's a naked swirl again in the morning?

The 18z models were a tad more interested in Isaac than the 12z runs. The HWRF and HMON both get it into the Gulf as a depression or weak TS. However, the 12z Euro EPS had nearly all the 50+ members kill Isaac off.

Isaac will be a hurricane and hit Nola. I know this because major disaster happens every time I go out of town to visit somewhere. I have to go to New Orleans next weekend.

For example I was in Houston 1 month before Harvey.

I was in Nola and Bay St Louis 2 weeks before Katrina

I was in Tuscaloosa 1 week before the Tornado.

I think I bring bad juju to places

What time frame are we talking about Ike to be in the gulf? I'm really not looking forward to that.

Isaac is going to strengthen to a Cat5e then head straight for Tiger Stadium.

Lord Saban has said it shall be so.

He’s fricking with you. There’s no evidence that storm is going to do anything.

Irma did the same thing to Tampa Bay

There was one in Mobile Bay when I was in high school that just spun and pushed all the water out. Can’t remember the name.

EDIT: Just looked it up. Was hurricane Danny. Hit LA then headed east and parked in the bay.
