GFS is the oddball in this case though, right?

It has done poorly with the system so far but it has always stayed with the more eastern track, even when the Euro and UK were showing this bending back SW into Texas.

If there is school tomorrow, then we will have school Wednesday imo. I don't see us missing any time for this storm.

These days? Sustained winds of 15 mph and 2" of rain.

It's all because of the school buses.

1) Drivers don't want to drive a bus of 45 loud kids in bad weather

2) Parents don't want Little Johnny to have to stand out at a bus stop in bad weather

3) School districts don't want to get sued if a bus gets into an accident, in bad weather, and kids get hurt, or worse.

The significant majority of kids, especially in public schools, rides the bus to and from school these days. More so than when we were kids.

Is this storm going to have time to wrap around and produce storms on the west side of it? Or is this going to be a classic "everything is to the east" storm?

Also factor in that the last thing they want is kids at school when conditions turn bad and then having to get all those kids home safely when emergency personnel are advising people to stay off the roadways

I know Levi Cowan tweeted out a wind maxima was forming near the center and that could cause an inner core to form meaning it could strengthen faster.

Pretty awesome to catch this kind of radar coverage on a developing storm. The core is improving pretty quickly too. Going to enjoy the opportunity to watch it churn this afternoon.

I’m supposed to head to the north shore for work tomorrow until Thursday. I’m thinking that’s not going to happen

Right, especially if they decide they need to shut down before the end of the school day. Running buses early is really problematic.

Thinking we will see a slight shift back westward with the track assuming the Euro follows suit from the GFS and Canadian models
