Has anyone seen local rainfall estimates based on new runs? I am in Columbia, SC and know we will get some rain. I am not concerned as much with rising rivers as I am with local totals flooding my neighborhood.

Both the GFS and Euro keep areas SW of Florence, SC fairly dry.

There isn't a ton of room for error around Florence, but Columbia is looking better and better with each model.

Seriously though, I talked to a friend at Fort Bragg Saturday and he had no idea there was a storm on the way before talking with me, and he's an officer.

I’m an officer. I just found out this past Saturday as well. It’s easy to not be aware of some things. It was hard to find cases of waters. Had to drive 30 minutes

Why do you think that is? Faster motion? Or does moisture get cut off once inland?

Looks like the biggest thing is that the Euro doesn't really stall Florence. She gets to and through the Appalachian mountains by Sunday/Monday in the latest Euro run. Previous runs had her trapped and even forced south for a few days.

95L looking better today I’ll bet by Wednesday it becomes a depression. Doesn’t look like it has too much to inhibit the growth moving into some really hot waters. It’s basically moving into bath water. NHC ups the chances every advisory.

I just sold my extra generator to a man driving 2 hours away from Fayetteville. No gas cans or generators in Wilm or Fayetteville. I just called AllState to check on whats covered and I am taking pics of everything.

Usually the recon missions are very methodical.

This one seems a bit haphazard.

Perhaps they're trying to get as many center passes as possible given the amount of fuel they have available.
