current models look better for SC, these storms are often an internal ethical dilemma. I'm not wishing anyone harm, but also don't want this thing to strike us.

Thank you to everyone here who post on a daily basis. I feel like sometimes you guys don't get the credit you deserve. The information here is easy to understand and it's spoken in a way that you can put some trust into. I prefer you guys over most other websites and television coverage.

Hear, hear.

I mean, just because a prediction was made, doesn't change the odds at all.

One of the models had Harvey pegged 9 days out with the epic rainfall.

True, with dating across ethnicities and religion being more commonplace nowadays it's much harder to identify exactly who is or is not Jewish. Most of them don't even wear the funny hats in public anymore.

Maybe I am looking at this backwards...but I would kinda be GLAD if a hurricane was predicted to hit me in 348 hours (that is 2 weeks and 12 hours for those scoring at home) because what are the odds that the correct spot could be predicted this far out?

It means nothing though. The odds haven't changed at all just because a model shows it's physically possible for a storm to get to you.

Work just sent out the first warning about Florence.

quote:

According to recent storm models issued by the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Florence’s current projected path could impact our area with tropical-storm-force winds potentially arriving as early as Tuesday afternoon. We are monitoring the progress of the storm closely and encourage employees to do the same through the weekend. Remain in contact with your supervisors for the latest updates on storm and hospital status and ensure you have your hurricane plans in place.

I knew that was poorly phrased but I rolled with it anyway.
