frick, that thing looks like Barry Sanders and the La-Miss coast is the goal line.

Why? The Euro has a disorganized low moving over Florida and dissipating. The GFS has a disorganized low moving over Florida, moving just out into the Gulf and dissipating by the panhandle.

At least no one is overreacting.

That will be this entire thread until landfall or it dissipates. Too bad you can't come in here for some quick updates without having to sift through pages of garbage.

The hell is this supposed to mean?

He doesn't understand the "rules" of forecasting.
Right now the question is pretty simple. Will there be a Dorian after the islands?
If so, then how is the eastern ridge shaped as what's left would get steered by it.
Pretty typical questions for a storm going to cut by PR and Hispaniola.

Just find the latest updates or comments from rds dc or Duke. Most everything else is fluff.

Not much change in the systems organization overnight but some signs on satellite that conditions are improving. However, recon isn't showing much of a response from the system. The HWRF, HMON and HAFS all have this strengthening in the Bahamas and making a westward turn towards Florida.

If it makes it into the Gulf, will conditions he favorable for strengthening?

It’s going to hit Australia

Listening to the news in Wichita talk about tropical systems makes me want to pull my hair out. “Dorian churns away in the gulf this morning with the southern US in its cross hairs. What effects if any will be felt here” was a direct quote this morning. I’d rather them not even mention it.

The image below is the latest on Fox.com. It has a posted time of 8:45 this morning.
Are there any updated models?

Models are almost irrelevant as many of them have this thing dead past hispaniola. Tough to model a disorganized mess of a storm.

when does this make landfall if it gets into the gulf and heads to the gulf coast?
Posted on 8/27/19 at 9:20 am to Cosmo
I sure hope you're right....

People are overreacting just on the past 2 pages...
Looking at models almost well past a week out is fantasy land. When it starts to approach closer to Florida you'll get a better reading on it. The storm might not even survive by the time it approaches Florida.
