Paul Baek told FOX 13 Seattle had just finished running his race on Sunday. He wanted to take a photo with his wife and his beloved dog, Brownie.

That is when he says his dog was attacked by the humane society's dog that was up for adoption.

"Why they decide to bring such a dog to a public area," he said.

The dog, named Dallas, had just been returned to the humane society by a family two days before the attack.

The humane society would not answer why the dog was returned
.

quote:

"I believe, without a shadow of a doubt, the Tacoma Humane Society is one hundred percent at fault for what happened," she said.

Drugge said she did not get any answers from the humane society, so she posted her TikTok in an effort to build awareness and create change.

"This was a public incident and an extremely public event with thousands of people. I don’t think they get the luxury of handling this internally, and I think they owe the public answers," she said.

Her TikTok has been viewed by hundreds of thousands of people since Sunday.

On the one hand, breed of peace and all that, but looking at pics I’m not sure it wasn’t mercy killing.

There wouldn't have been anyone there that could have stopped me from murdering that dog if it had been my pooch it killed.

I mean the spca owns what the dogs do when they take them in public

But that doesn’t mean they had any reason to expect an incident.

Usually the dogs get exposed to people, dogs, noise etc.. before going to events.

Unfortunately dogs are still wild animals and not 100% prefictable.

If the spca knew of incidents/aggression, obviously shame on them but I’d think that’s the last thing they want to risk. Minimal benefit and tremendous downside.

Well it is red with a similar tail. Also look at the nose, looks nothing like a pit.

Hey, I have an idea: How about EVERYONE leave your friggin pets AT HOME and just stop trying to insert poochie into all sorts of stupid situations!

You’re running 26.2 miles…focus on that! Your dog doesn’t know WTF is going on! Just let them enjoy their normal surroundings and give them some treats when you get home!

Dummies.

I’ve seen naive or just dumb people bring aggressive dogs into public events… had to break up a dog fight at a fireworks show a few years back.

But the Humane Society? Wtf.

Akchuwally, it looks more like a Pitt than a ridgeback. The face and nose is more Pitt looking from that little bit we can see. Maybe a Pitt ridgeback mix if anything about your assumption is correct.

Are pit bulls like black suspects now. They won’t say what kind of dog they are in the media?

Small dog. Likely one of those yippie little dogs that thinks he is bigger than he is. The alleged offender still seems to be an "intact" male. Humane Society should know better. Small dog was likely vocal. The handler wasn't prepared and didnt/couldn't control the alleged aggressor. Neither owner or handler was prepared or controlled their dog. Bad shite happened.
