Huge Announced Construction Developments that Never Broke Ground

I was thinking back the other day on a few huge projects never built. Some of them had a good bit of excitement and publicity after the announcements. There are lots of examples. What other ones do you remember?
Here are a few that I thought of -
Dream Vision Theme Parks - Two theme parks to be constructed simultaneously for $3.5B each. One would be a music industry themed park near Muscle Shoals, Alabama and the other one near Fort Worth, Texas. The development supposedly already had financing secured and the design staff included former Disney managers.
Dream Vision Theme Parks become a nightmare
EarthQuest Adventures Theme Park - This was supposed to be a huge $500M dinosaur themed amusement park to be located near New Caney, Texas (near Houston)
EarthQuest Youtube news story
The Block - I stumbled across this one doing a search on building heights in the southeast. This one was or is an office tower and entertainment complex to be built in Birmingham that included a 48 story building. The development company is TUF (The Ultimate Fan) and they actually have a website. It has a lot of businesses listed that appear to be nothing more than pretend companies. Reading the company descriptions made me think of the movie Step Brothers for some reason.

It broke ground but Wade Park in Frisco was a pretty big recent bust to the tune of like 2B
Although I think they just announced a new development proposal (like 3B) to replace it

Hartsville Nuclear Power Plant. Was supposed to be the worlds largest nuclear plant. Construction started in 1975 and canceled in 1983. Now it’s just a creepy area

I remember that one as well. It was supposed to include the construction of a high-speed rail system connecting it to Atlanta and Birmingham.
