I saw one that big before. Ole boy came by our house with it in his trunk.

Probably older. Guy I worked with said they usually gain a pound a year and that's how they determine the age of older turtles. Ours was 125# and was a little bigger than that one they caught

I caught one that was about 30 lbs near the Garden District when I was a kid. 15+ years ago. Now they occasionally dredge the canals and there are no large turtles in there anymore. Don't seem to be many big ones in the LSU lakes either.

I saw a snapping turtle in a water run off off the interstate around those hills between Alexandria and Shreveport last summer...It looked a little smaller than that one posted in the OP.
