Me - happy to have a job, wish the kids and spouse would understand i'm not ON VACATION and leave me alone to pretend i'm working when i'm actually posting on TD.

Spouse - driving me nuts on honey-dos and 'pay attention to me' on the flipside my house and yard have never looked better.

18yo daughter - drove to chattanooga over the weekend to move her out of her dorm. as a freshman in college she is devastated and feels like her entire life is over..she's now back to living at home with zero social life and nowhere to go.

11yo daughter - her school jumped on the zoom remote school train immediately and she's hating life right now because she's literally in school 8-3 every day.

5yo son - no preschool anymore; BEST TIMELINE EVER! he's completely oblivious and is thrilled to have mom and dad home ALL DAY LONG and if he's not watching TV or playing with legos he's outside up to his knees playing in mud puddles. i bet he's had 4 baths a day every single day for the past week.

pets - exhausted from going on walks one of my dogs literally flopped over on his side in the sun yesterday and refused to move for like 30 minutes. i thought he was dead.

eta BONUS - little CAD

A retired husband and wife married for 20 years and my birthday tomorrow. She hasn't been able to get out to get me a present.

My wife and I are loving working from home, saving money on gas and food, cooking, enjoying wine, gardening like Bob Vila, and watching new Netflix series.

What we miss is physical church. Online streaming isn't the same.

My little ones are going to have a hard time adjusting back to normal life when they aren’t with mommy & daddy 24/7.

My work is pretty busy during all of this. Still have TD open on one monitor.

My wife is "working from home" but mainly watching Ozark on her computer.

My 13 yr old daughter is doing a few hours of schoolwork per day and watching Netflix.

Dog is outside barking at dragonflies or whatever until I let him back inside. He starts bothering me barking at every jogger passing by so I put him outside again. Lather rinse repeat.

A down vote? You need to lighten up fella. A little levity is good right now.

I’ve learned that having both you and your wife in the same industry isn’t always a plus. We are both in the financial industry and with the recent developments neither of us have been able to take some time to relax, unwind, get house stuff done, etc. and it sucks. Now we are both dealing with panicking people all day just about every day while being confined to our house.

It's so bad at my house I had to paint the fricking fireplace this weekend before going fishing.

I’ve locked myself in my office. Haven’t spoken to wife since six yesterday. There will be hell to pay but it’s so nice and quiet.
