after recovering from a virus?
Is there a blood test that is given?

Turn on the AM radio to 1170. If there's a signal burst at sea level with you standing near the radio....it's working.

You can't look at just one person, you'd need to consolidate the numbers across the country to get percentages of vaccinated and unvaccinated who get serious disease or die. This is being done.
Thumbs up for starting another vaccine thread.

One wouldn't. You look at the hospitalization/death numbers to see the vaccine reduces severity.

Too many variables to be able to state with a certainty severity of infection:
The initial viral load to infect is one, additional variables include the time after infection for diagnosis, the level and chosen regimen of care following diagnosis are also nebulous.

The first, last, and only thing to do is read the gateway pundit.

Or, for that matter, did the Covid deaths get added to our usual death totals, or did Covid deaths just replace the deaths that ordinarily happen every year?

Medical Statistics apply to groups not individuals. You can get relative possibilities about individuals but not certainties.
I had 2 fully vaccinated friends that died from Covid last summer. Statistically their chances of death were much lower than general population. Individually they both had 100% death rate.

Keep it simple. The only way to survive covid is to be vaccinated. If you die after being vaccinated, you should have been boosted. If you die after a booster, you never existed and are a creation of the misinformation campaign.

Nah definitely watch a Pfizer sponsored MSM source because it's on the tv and therefore true.

The data is pretty solid in that it reduces severity. However….. it’s not a 100% guarantee and still comes down to personal choice.
If you choose to not get vaccinated and get covid bad then that’s on you. I’m saying this as an unvaccinated person who took that risk willingly and came out just fine like the other 98% of the population.

Press a magnet against your chest and then release it to see how long it stays magnetized to your body without you holding it.
If it holds for more than 7 seconds then the vaccine definitely reduced the severity of the virus.

You didn’t up with a tube down your throat, or die.

I worry this line of thinking could create a self-fulfilling prophecy. Death rate probably a better metric
