I don't believe that for a second.
He did. He probably makes more as a 1st year lawyer than most of the OT lawyers make now.
There is more to an applicant than a test score. If you saw his resume you'd see way. His work experience and international experience is top notch.

You grow up poor or with parents that aren't around either because they work or they are POS and you've pretty much been dealt a huge disadvantage in life. I'm surprised at those downplaying the role of a mentor in this thread.
It's ludicrous. They always rant and rave about fathers and two parent households but suddenly those don't matter anymore

He did. Toke it several times, couldn't crack 160.
Someone gave him a chance and he ran with it

I don't believe you.
No one here believes you

The matriculation stats for medical schools broken down by race is pretty eye opening.

What school gave him a chance?

He got a 155 and got into a top 8 school in the 2017 rankings. Smartest guy I know. Works for a top 10-15 firm and probably made $250k out the gate. Yep
What was the schools rank when he got in? Why list the 2017 rank if he went years ago?

I thought the NY Times was all fake news though.

Salaries at major market big firms are all the same and move up in lockstep by years of experience. Unless he has has a SCOTUS clerkship or works at an ultra elite boutique firm, he's making 160k just like everyone else.

bullshite. Law school admissions is 95% GPA and LSAT. Unless you're talking about Yale and Stanford where you need perfect numbers and an exceptional background (like Olympic gold medalist or published scientist etc.). Don't take my word for it, check out law school numbers.com

exactly
a 155 would be an issue for a white guy trying to get into LSU these days (without a great GPA/story)
getting into the top 8 with that? better have a last name like Cuomo, Clinton, Bush, etc

That's exactly the problem, which is the point precisely. It's a culture problem, not a race problem. And the bias is now socioeconomic more than race.
