If there's anything I've learned in my 8 years of marriage it's this: choose your battles. If it's something that really important to you and the well being of your family, it's worth arguing about. If your wife can't set foot in Target without spending $200, it's worth fighting about.
If it's something that only a woman would decide to be upset about at 4:58pm on a Tuesday, then just let it go. If your wife doesn't like the way you fold your washcloths, just let it go. Chances are she'll stop being mad about it in a few mins and you can go about your day without getting upset.

You got a little bit of it right.
My wife was a stay at home mom for the last 6 months. In my opinion, that means the household chores were hers. I didn't do squat around the house. She bitched constantly. Not just about housework, but everything.
Last week she went back to work. I get home about 45 minutes before her. I straighten up a little, get the stuff ready to feed the baby, and take care of the dog. Takes about 15 minutes. When she gets home, I make sure she notices I did stuff. She now thinks I'm a great husband

Happy wife = happy life
It is all about family in the end . You just have to marry a sweet girl. Not that hard.

Do any sweet girls walk around saying happy life = happy wife? Isn't that the refrain of unreasonable women who don't want to compromise and expect their husbands to mold to their desires?

I just tell her quit being a fricking count. She's off my back for at least the evening.
