I have a 16 month old daughter and want to send her to private school here in BR. I hear random talks about having to enroll early. I do not have an idea of when and how to start. Any kind suggestions to help ensure her a good education here in BR? I live in the Univ. Club area. Thx

Call the people who have the answers: The schools to which you would like her to go.

Have you ever seen Forrest Gump? A mama sure has to care about her child's schoolin'

Or, join a Catholic church now and get on the waiting list now and get your kids into the daycares the church runs now if the Catholic schools are an option.

In fact don't even worry about her being smart. Just have money.

If you have good public schools in your area...there's really no point putting them there until maybe middle school.

I did private school K-12 and i feel bad that my parents paid that much money before high school. that said we had some ghetto schools close to us.

Money not an issue. I hear lot of politics involved. Also hear public schools in BR is terrible. Was hoping someone who went through this process recently can give me some good insight.

I went to public schools. Like I said there was a slight language barrier and by slight I mean I turned in a 9th grade English paper in Spanish

Sounds like wherever you attended wasn't much better.

My parents got me and my sister on the waiting list for Catholic school when we were about a year old-for kindergarten. I don't know if that was necessary, but my parents were the types to have shite like that covered.
