Actually the Chinese are spending billions there for the right to mine their resources. Once the gold, diamonds, and other natural resources are gone so are the investors.

Labor is a major resource that will be exploited.

The others have been exploited for decades. Including oil.

Recolonize it.

Basically, partition it to the major powers for exploitation of resources, but in exchange they have to improve it (infrastructure, education, healthcare).

As you said, the root of almost all of Africa’s issues is corruption.

One other “problem” is external forces, such as foreign aid.

Clothing and food donations have destroyed the industries of the African nations.

It is truly amazing how supposed “good deeds” are so destructive.

Foreign aid needs to be curtailed heavily.

The biggest problem I saw there was the vast difference in cultures and these are not easily given up even for the betterment of relations between countries. There is not much anyone outside can do until they are ready for change themselves.

I often wonder if the blacks that say they want to go live in Africa actually know what they are talking about. Blacks in Africa hate African Americans, they won't be welcomed with open arms like they think.

Go back in time and tell Europe to not give up their colonies there.

I doubt that you're being sincere. You'll probably get racist and one sided posts.

But if you want the truth

1. Let Africa nations redefine the lines of their borders. The borders of most African nations were created by Europeans for colonialism and resource extraction.

2. Let them privatize the wealth of their individual nations. There are still plenty of contracts forced on African nations during the 1600s to 1900.

3. Implementation of a plan to slowly remove foreign aid to Africa. Its supposed to help, but it usually is taken by warlords or other oppressive governments.

As for the history of Africa and some of the nations accomplishments, you need to read some legitimate historical findings.

We need to focus on our country, first.

Africa is massive continent. Which part are you talking about?

Niger and Tanzania are VERY different countries. I also wouldn't lump in Kenya with Sudan.

Fix it? Obama could do some community organizing. Free healthcare, keep the oceans from rising, make countless speeches, bring Beyoncé along

Yep. They're about to make a ton of money off that continent.

It will happen on its own, it just needs time. Capitalism isn’t going anywhere and a hallmark of Capitalism is a shift toward the lowest cost form of labor. For a while that was China. China has developed, their education system has improved and their people want something more than sweatshop jobs. Now things are shifting towards Indonesia and India. It may not be in our lifetimes but eventually the cycle will move to Northern Africa. The elephant in the room is technology, when it becomes cheaper than even the most inexpensive labor on the planet then most hope is lost for Africa.

Just curious, but why would we fix Africa? We need to fix Detroit, Baltimore, San Francisco, and Chicago. We need to fix our aging infrastructure. We need to fix the skyrocketing cost of healthcare and rising costs of an obese America. Let Africa fix itself.
