Everyone has their own opinion- I choose not to talk about the vaccine.
I’ve been pretty cautious but only wore the mask when required, when the vaccine was available I got one. I could really care less what everyone decides.

For the last x amount of months, my boss was strictly anti vax. Would talk every few days about how he is never getting the vaccine, how dumb it was, yadda yadda yadda.

Flash forward to today, boss strolls in and whips out his vaccine card, talking about how great it feels to be vaccinated, and now convincing my co workers and I we need to get vaxxed.

Reminds me of the people who suddenly declare that they are vegan, make sure everyone knows they are vegan, and make sure you know that they are morally superior to you.

They say vaccine hesitancy corresponds to educational level.

Checks out.

Request a meeting with the pool board and put it to a vote.

This whole vaccination thing is a really strange phenomenon. I can’t recall one time in my life where people have been so polarized, or been so proud to announce getting vaccinated to everyone, or been so vehemently opposed to it either.

It’s this polarization that is what causes me the most apprehension. It’s just weird. It’s a personal decision, but that sure doesn’t stop people from getting in your business about it. I was having a personal conversation with someone just yesterday simply on the Delta variant, and someone in the office overheard us speaking about the variant out there now, and proceeded to give us both unsolicited lectures on why we need to get vaccinated, blaming it all on us. I just smiled and brushed it off, because I wasn’t about to get into a big discussion on it with a person with such a personal investment in a damn vaccine. I knew where that would go, and that’s no place positive I can assure you, a complete waste of my time.

Tell him to get vaccinated, and he'll be fine.

I've noticed many posts on social media from friends in the medical field who are what I call "conservative". They supported Trump vocally, etc. They are all posting about the importance of everyone getting vaccinated and how frustrated they are about his new "spike" because it was totally preventable, blah, blah, blah. It's been surprising to me. I'm fully vaccinated by the way, just not on a soap box about it.

Tell him you've discussed it with your doctor and he/she's suggested to hold off at this point.

Unless you're obviously overweight or have health issues that your boss already knows about.

My boss asked me if I was considering it when I tested positive and in quarantine. Kinda pointless when I’ve already got the damn Covid and was fine 48 hours later.
Apparently if you have the vax you don’t have to quarantine anymore if someone around you tests positive.

I think "im waiting until its FDA approved" is the most bulletproof thing you can say.

If people trust the government enough to get pushy with a vaccine, they will trust the FDA to tell you its safe
