Just ask her this simple question

Why do you feel like you need to always correct me!

I'd never date a naggy person.

Does she start every sentence with "I'm not nagging but can you do ____?" Like my wife?

It's probably not the best way but when it comes to my wife not trusting my judgement on things. If she is willing to go to battle on it, ok yeah we will do it your way not mine. Then when her way fails I bring it up calmly and point out why I would have picked differently.

Gotta let them fail sometimes.

she always has to be right about everything.

shite as a married man thought this was a given.

If the disagreement escalates i usually slowly move my way out of the room as she continues talking. Kind of a homer into the bushes gif

Women nag because men have let them. They'll push you as far as possible.

Had a GF that was naggy as shite.. It was hard leaving because the sex was damn good... She was a finisher.. I soon realized that the sex was always make up sex.. And we all know how good make up sex is... So I walked away.

You don’t realize what a dumb and terrible person you are until you get married …. Just ask her

My favorite is this exchange...

Me... "Yes honey. You are right. You are always right and I am always wrong"

Yes... Well that's just not true!

I have employed this technique several times with good results. Just stare at her while she's yammering on - then make the "coo coo" sound. I mean just like the sound a coo coo clock makes. Do that 2-3 times and then just turn and walk away.

If she follows you, go get in your ride and leave. Be sure to hit her with another coo coo or two as you back out of the drive. You'll both have a laugh about it one day. Perhaps.

Solomon knew a loooong time ago

quote:

It is better to live in a corner of the housetop [on the flat roof, exposed to the weather] Than in a house shared with a quarrelsome (contentious) woman.

How do you married baws navigate these situations?

Calmly make your point. If she starts trying to pick a fight, say “we’ll discuss this when you’re calm enough to do this rationally” and just pick up your keys and drive somewhere for a few hours without your phone. When you come home, if she’s still yelling, do it again.

Once they figure out that picking a fight doesn’t make you immediately cave, they will have to change tactics, and typically, that forces them to battle on more even ground.

My ex was like that, realized it wasn't going to work before we got married or had kids thankfully. Literally got to the point where I couldn't buy gas without getting bitched at for not going 5 miles further to save $0.01/gal. I was miserable, so I bailed.

This is why, after over 4 years since my divorce, plus the year prior of separation, i still have zero desire to be in a serious relationship or marriage.

I don’t have nagging in my life
