But forgive me if you take a bottle of sugar water and pass a crystal over it and sprinkle the essence of a willow tree with a fairy spirit trapped inside and then try to charge someone $69.74 for it. I'm gonna call you a fricking quack.

I agree generally with that. St. John's Wort, St. Ignatius Bean, chamomille and mountain daisy are all solid homeopathic remedies.

The two companies you mentioned have some issues, from what I found online.

Some of this is pretty simple - for example, if you have sinus issues that clear up when it is cold, during the summer when it is warm you can cut an onion and it will have a similar effect.

Funny. I gave a big crystal to a woman and she suddenly stopped caring that my dick was 3 inches too short.

But, I'm sure you posted this because homeopathic medicine is science and works, in many cases, better than the garbage the big Wall St. pharmaceutical companies foist on us.

Herbal medicine is better, however.

You had a nice troll going, but you went too far.

Crystals do work. I know. When the air is bad or there are a lot of planes in the air, I keep a malachite crystal in my pocket or purse and it works.

Bixbyite is a good calming crystal. If I feel stressed, I put it in the palm of my hand.

I've taken milk thistle, raspberry ketones, cinnamon, vitamin c, fish oil, all that jazz. That's fine and not too expensive. This nonsense I'm pissed as hell about. Essential oils.

They gave this stuff to my aunt when she was dying of cancer. They claimed she felt a little better and didn't need the pain pills as much. frick it was painful to watch. frick cancer. And I know that desperate people will try anything that gives them hope and try anything. But the costs rack up and in the end you're still dying of cancer and no tonic is gonna save you.

any update on this?

Re your gam gams "meds" those particular ones may or may not b fraudulent but I've seen firsthand what alternative medicine can do. My wife was wasting away to nothing due to an immune disorder until she finally did some research, got off the super drugs and went homeopathic. She basically cured herself and whether that's due to placebo or the herbs I really don't care. You never know what will work

No one said crystals are cures. You don't say "I'm sick so I'm going to use crystals." Crystal healing, to me, is spiritual healing. They put you in the right frame of mind, and a sound mind and attitude is healing.

Cash must be the same way. When I have a big fat wad of it in my pocket I feel happy and not stressed. I take it out and hold it close to my chest and it makes me feel confident and attractive. It must work too because women like me better when I have lots of it. They rub their boobies on me.

I need a wagon now. I'll go on the road. Uncle Fr33's Magic Cash!

I think you and I are pretty close on this (but no so much on crystals). It would be evil to give someone essential oils in lieu of pain medicine. I've been looking more into essential oils, but at this point I just like how some smell. Homemade essential oil soaps are okay.

I have had friends say "they know someone who had cancer and use cannabis oil which stopped it" but it is always one of those "friends of a friend" so I'm skeptical.

So what is in crystal that causes this? If its a state of mind then it doesn't matter what the item is right? You can apply the mindset to a stick.

My dad did this with liver disease. Drs gave him 6 months to live in 2004. He's still alive and his liver is almost 100%.

You actually make my point, sort of. I imagine a wad of cash would make you feel better. If you understand chakra alignment you'll feel better with certain crystals on you. Give your boyfriend a blowjob he'll feel better (orgasms are healing and good for you).

And, we agree on cancer. I hate to hear when someone dying of cancer can't get pain medicine because "they'll be addicts." So what! Give them the medicine. I've had two close relatives die of cancer and towards their deaths they were so skinny, looked like concentration camp stuff. It was awful. Hope I never have to see that again.

They didn't stop the pain meds completely, just tried to cut down on them. But those are poison too. She wouldn't be lucid on them. They eat your brain. the oils helped (I guess) at first because she seemed more alert and in better spirits. Maybe it was the placebo effect.

All I know is that she died terribly and no fricking oils could have stopped that. If I ever get cancer like that I'm just gonna go fishing and not come back.

Yogagirl, you are confusing home or herbal medicines with homeopathic medicines. They are two different things. From medicine.net:
quote:

Homeopathy: Founded in the 19th century, a practice that is based on the concept that disease can be treated with minute doses of drugs thought capable of producing in healthy people the same symptoms as those of the disease being treated. This principle is similar to the concept behind exposure therapy for allergies, but the amounts of active medication used in homeopathy are so small as to be almost undetectable. Scientific studies of homeopathy have returned mixed results. It is considered alternative medicine in the US.

Homeopathic meds are based on the idea that the smaller the dose, the more effective it will be. Therefore most homeopathic meds are nothing but almost pure water.

Fr33, if this is the case then the only effect would be a placebo effect. Probably harmless. But if there are any significant amount of herbs or other ingredients in these "medications" then there is a good possibility that there could be a harmful reaction with one of her real meds. If you are worried, you could maybe switch it with actual water and your crackpot relative would be no wiser. (In more ways than one.)

So what is in crystal that causes this?

It is complex but it derives from the fact that crystals are created through intense pressures from the earth's crust. Crystals receive, project, give out, and refract light, and light is one of the most powerful energy sources. They also affect the EMF around you. They have an innate power, it is not just some piece of gravel.

Whoever is saying that is full of shite. Probably literally full of shite as well because all the narcotics they've been receiving have them constipated.
