I'm not some bleeding heart lib or anything...but Jesus Christ healthcare is so fricked up in this country.

It was bleeding heart liberals who fricked it up and then got helped along by the RINOs who got too scared to vote on the solutions under 1st Trump that they kept pushing to get elected while knowing Obama would veto it. Thankfully the covid subsidies were allowed to die off after being renewed by Dems and Biden’s Autopen.

That’s where we stand - an unnecessary extension of a covid program ends which brings back original Obamacare subsidy limits, but it gets played as a cut to healthcare like it was the new normal. A little with the Clintons fallback healthcare push, then Bush’s prescription plan, then Obamacare, and then covid subsidies for Obamacare it seems like the solution to the problems created by more government is just more government.

Ochsner sucks. All of medicine does now. Watch. They all have laptops and I think use Epic to tell them what they can do based on the managed care provider. They don’t practice medicine anymore. They are being told what they can do.

I think Ochsner does this shite now. Talk about pain in the arse benefits to use if you're not based in New Orleans. They were very inconvenient.

It’s your choice on a 2nd opinion.

They are trying to get you to choose who they want.

If it's gotten to this point, why do we have insurance?

Because Obama required us to.

I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years. The things I have seen and heard have made me question EVERY plan of care written on my behalf. I've gotten to the point where I do not trust anything without personal research of medical advice given to me.

I’d get another opinion on this.

Am I wrong in thinking this is a massive conflict of interest and wildly unethical? How can a licensed doctor, whose sole objective in their profession is to benefit the health and safety of the patient... suddenly claim they don't practice medicine when pushing the company line that the patient doesn't need some service because it will cost the insurance money?

It’s called lobbying
