Ive always been told A&M has one of the best network resources (maybe its true in Texas) and it did land me my first job. How are other schools networking resources?

That's just because most people in hiring positions are men, and A&M grads are really good at sucking dicks

I make a point not to hire Texas A&M graduates.

Is this the daily thread for you to pat yourself on the back for being employed?

My industy is one in which A&M has a solid educational program. I've worked with Aggies, they're fragile individuals with low self esteem.

LSU alums have a better chance of getting you a job in Houston than they do in LA.

As a guy who got a Bachelors in the humanities at a second-rate satellite school in the Midwest I can say without reservation that my alumni network absolutely sucks. It's even more worthless living in Texas, far away from the base.

Literally the only connection I have any use for anymore is my old Work Study boss. Even then I'm far enough removed from that position that it's only useful for employment verification (though the guy does speak very highly of me).

To be fair, delivering pizzas isn't that hard of a job to get.

I can only really speak for the LSU school of engineering, and the network for jobs is excellent. Every offer I've taken and received has been from, or through, an LSU grad.

Granted, most were in Louisiana and Texas, but I also received offers in ATL, Puerto Rico, and LA.

Not as good as Jesuit grads.

Part of me if I ever have a son wants to send him there just cause I know he’s set afterwards.

I am sure Aggies aren't sweating that since Aggies typically don't network with Corndogs.

Jesuit has done more for as far as getting my foot in the door at places that I have absolutely no business being in than anything else in my life.

LSU's sucks in general

LSU football always works in interviews though. I would always get asked about how tailgating, gameday, and mardi gras is. So that's a plus

My last job was due to an Alabama connection, so ty UA

It seems networking would work more for a smaller school because there’s less of them and they got more out of their way to help each other. LSU dominates the state of Louisiana so it’s not really rare to find another alarm right? A&M has at least has other big universities to contend with.
