If you're looking for him to be a little shite, he's going to be a little shite.

When you find yourself blaming everyone else when he makes mistakes

You are already failing him as a father

Parenting plays a huge role, but some kids are going to be little shits no matter what.

The sooner you get off your phone and start parenting the better off he’s gonna be.

Odds are already against the poor kid...

Did you just assume your "son" identify as a male? Cant believe your calling your baby a son when he isnt old enough to tell you what he identify as

All kids are little shits until they hit 18.
Then they are adult shits.
Then they are adult shits.

Jaxxton was taking batting practice at a year old. Your kid is already behind.

However he observes you in your interactions, and how you respond to both adversity and success.....he will grow up to essentially mimic those characteristics. He will follow your lead.
Which means you have to be very careful. I learned the hard way.....by the time my son was 6 he was drinking heavily, smoking cigs, doing drugs, womanizing, eating too much and not exercising. It's amazing how they soak it all in....they're sponges, the rascals.

I’m a mom, so i’m gonna give a wordy mom like answer:
They change. When our 9 year old was 5, I was certain he’d get kicked out of kindergarten. I was really concerned. Turns out he was just crazy staying at home because there wasn’t a lot of structure (he was the 4th kid)
At the First parent teacher conference the teacher said he was perfectly behaved in class. I was blown away. I notice he gets stir crazy at home over the summer out of boredom. He doesn’t know what to do with himself and starts to lose his mind, pout, yell, fight with his siblings etc.
Now I’m hoping the same is true for our current 5 year old who is even crazier. He starts kindergarten in August. This kid is intense. I worry he needs more than structure.....
But, we need boys like him considering where this country may be headed....
These little ninny boy teens still wearing masks when they are no longer mandatory aren’t a future our country can depend on. Keep that in mind while raising your son.
Our oldest son, 18 currently, was shy and quiet and wasn’t hard to deal with it until he was around 10-12. They are all difficult starting around that age. They eventually turn into smelly frustrated jerks. Then they’re nice again in their late teens. At least that was the case with our oldest. And most of my friends started freaking out when their sons were around 10-12 “What happened to my sweet son?” “Little johnny is such an a-hole now!” By 14 they break you and you realize that nice kid isn’t returning and you now live with a smelly a-hole. Its universal i think. Then suddenly they become nice again and don’t stink anymore around 17-18.
In general, by 3 years old, after watching them in several group play settings, you can really see what they are going to be like. Shy vs outgoing. Aggressive vs thinkers who hang back assess the situation then go in. Etc etc.
Don’t worry though. They change a LOT over the years. Enjoy the ride!
