How sketchy is the account of this car crash?

He parked, when into the apartment, the chick tried to drive, hit a tree and caught the car on fire. What's so hard to understand?

Yeah, I'd have some questions for Willams' husband. Is his story that she was injured and he didn't want to move her? Why leave her for five minutes? If he went to call or get help, did neither of them have a cell phone?

I'm trying to make sense of this but the details are really odd.
I think that the car could not have been going very fast if it was in the compartment complex.
Why was it that Natalie was not able to get out of the car on her own as the fire got started? Was she knocked unconscious in the wreck?
I find it odd that the bf did not make the call to 911, it was person passing by who made the call.
Interesting that she was so badly injured in the wreck, unable to escape the flames while he strolled away for whatever reason.

Oops, I know she wasn't killed and I mistakenly said killed instead of being in critical condition. Honestly, with burns over 75% of her body, I don't know is her chances of making it are all that good.
If she does make it she has meany long months of excruciating pain ahead of her.
I have reread the story, looked for updates and it still doesn't make any sense.

It does sound odd. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the husband left the car accident and went to the apartment for a fire extinguisher? It seems like he would've tried to get her out first though; she didn't seem to be trapped since he was later able to pull her from the burning vehicle.

It was 2:30 a.m. Hubby was probably going to stash contraband before LEO's arrived.

Thanks for the info. It makes sense to me that the husband was going to hide his stash. Especially considering that he has a criminal past of at least 5 arrests in Florida for crimes dealing with burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief, other thefts, too much for me summarize. Even before I found his arrest record, a quick look at his Facebook revealed him to be a sketchy looking character.
Maybe I am overly suspicious because I do a lot of research into crimes but this guy just really looks like trouble to me. Why on earth would she be with this dude?
I'm trying to have empathy for him to be in this situation with his wife in critical condition. But if his sketchy azz hadn't strolled back to the apartment he would have been able to pull his wife out of the car at the first hint of a fire.
