It's the most bulllshit argument.
You're being "offended" by something doesn't magically go back in time and retroactively turn everything you feel to be "offensive" into some nefarious racist hatemongering.
Times, social mores and outlooks were different. Just because they were different doesn't make them wrong.

I own an original copy of this book.
It was my grandmother's. I've read that it was banned from libraries and will never be in print again.

Killed by the PC movement. The story isn't really racist but most accounts seem find fault with the illustrations.
Supposedly the original books up until the 1960s are rare and valuable, but I've never tried to sell mine.
