I have has a crush on her all my life, but neither of us are Alabama.
I have a cousin who all the dudes used to think was hot. She is pretty, even today in her late 40s, but growing up she lived next to my grandma and anytime I was going there and one of my friends knew it they wanted to come with me just to see her, but to me she was my cousin so I couldn't see the "hotness" everyone else saw in her. That's weird you had a crush on yours.

We played pickleball in PE c.2006. Just think it’s strange a game we played in PE almost 20 years ago is so big now
Hell, we’d played it in the mid-late 90’s. I was certain our PE coach made it up because I’d never heard of anyone playing it before or after I left HS.
Then, 25 years later everyone is playing. When that first started I thought “Wait a minute. Other people know about this game?”
My 8 year old daughter likes to play. She says “Daddy, it’s our thing.” I don’t give a shite how goofy it looks. If it makes her happy, I’m happy to play any time.

Jim Florentines rants on pickleball are legendary.

So pickleball was the only available option of things to do during Covid?

If you can’t see the hotness in your cousin then your cousin isn’t hot.

It's fun and you don't need a bunch of equipment to get into it.
The only requirement is that you have some friends that like you enough to play with you.
I can see why it wouldn't be for you.

I didn't say that. It became popular because many places like gymnasiums, pools, beaches, bowling alleys, etc were closed or restricted. The game is quite popular all around.
