Mine is 76,perfectly healthy but has no PC filter. My Dad has been gone almost 40 years, and she has been alone since then.
Probably doesn't belong on this board.Do we have a senior citizen one?

You still drunk? What are you talking about. Are you afraid one of those thugs, like in Charlotte, are going to break into your Moms home. Buy her a Glock and teach her how to use it.

66, she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2013, double mastectomy, 6 months of Chemo, 6 months of radiation. And 3 years later she is still cancer free. I make sure I see her at least 1 to 2 times a week.
Make sure you appreciate your mother and let her know it while you can, life's short.

Being who she is,and where she came from, she is comfortable with a weapon.
I am still sitting at home drinking as much as I like.
Laughing at pussy bitches like you. hard lessons coming to you either way.

the OP is facing taking care of a parent, or at least is concerned he ought to.

Sounds to me like he's just concerned she's a little too un-PC.

75. Has COPD. Married to step-father. Yes, I do feel responsibility for her.

Mom is 65 now and taking care of my grandpa. Guest myself and my brothers will be responsible for her when she gets a little older. Mom is pretty independent so we shall see

76...I do try to check in with her pretty frequently.

It would be nice if you refreshed the OT with a few photographs of this lady.
Showing her our comments would probably make mom's day.

Not sure. It was always impolite to ask.
Health is so far, so good as she takes no medications
She has her own room here whenever she drives south from her North Louisiana metropolis. Definitely some responsibility..
