No wonder he hates blue collar workers. At his age they make him look poor as frick. Mingo, just wait. Your white collar job will eventually outpace theirs and you’ll live an easier life.

So you don’t hate blue collar workers or you’re not 22? Which one is a lie? Why should I believe you now?

33, but I’ve been accidentally saying I’m 32 since I was 31 unless I stopped to do math. I’m just gonna start saying the decade.

I'm 35 but keep thinking I'm 36. My bday isn't until April. I keep aging myself.

If you eat well and stay in good shape I think men can live their best years (looks, money, knowledge from experience) into their early 50's.

The problem is that a lot of dudes give up on themselves (physically) in their late 30's/early 40's and they're never able to get it back.

I love it when guys in there 30s talk about getting older like they fully understand what happens.

I'm not totally dismissing what you're saying, just that it's not quite that simple.

• A lot of the things you do when you're young come back to roost when you're older.

• Those, in turn, can impact your mobility which will affect calories burned through typical daily activities.

• Barring a concerted effort to find alternatives to what were normal calorie burning activities, you put on weight.

• Because everything seems to work less effectively as you grow older including your base metabolic activities, it seems harder to burn calories and lose weight.

• You have a lifetime of eating habits that are only now seemingly a problem.

• Nothing heals like it used to so any new injury will also impact you mobility for longer, thus impacting you weight.

• Genetics can be both a blessing and a curse. My hairline says a blessing, my blood pressure says a curse.

All that to say, while Pecker's statement is a little misguided based on my personal experience, there is something in there that has merit. The implication that you need to start adjusting your lifestyle to account for aging before you actually start aging.

Develop good habits and routines, particularly regarding those things you can now take for granted. Take that from someone who did not and and has had to do so after the fact. It's not a cakewalk by any stretch.

Oh I obviously shouldn’t. It’s just nice to think that people would be more honest with the anonymity TD provides us on here.

Especially something as meaningless as age
