I work for a home builder in Huntsville, AL. See transplants from Democrat run states very frequently. Mostly from California.

It is so easy to tell who's not from here - especially Cali folks.
Cali folks all dress the same, have the same tats, drive the same cars, and carry themselves all aloof.

They have invaded middle Tennessee. At the previous practice that I worked at in Nashville about one third of our new patients were Cali transplants.

Live in a military community. Run into piles of Californians, Oregonians and Washingtonians...seem like good people. Also piles of folks from Texas around us. People from all over the US and the world.

They're pretty common in metro Atlanta. We have a couple of CA transplant families on our street.

So basically what I’ve gathered here is:
Yes cali transplants are landing in a lot of places other than Texas.
I am just amazed at how many of them pack up and leave their home state to move across the country to places like Georgia or Tennessee. Not shocked at states bordering CA getting transplants. Do these people simply not have family and friends? They just leave?

Spoke to a couple from California, asked them why they moved to Mississippi? Family? No, they never been to MS. The low cost of living, sold their house in California, and from that, they bought their permanent house and were buying rental houses for their retirement.

My hairdresser is one of the transplants. She told me that she moved because she didn't want to raise her kids in a leftist state. She is a conservative Christian.
