At random. Usually when I want to cook something, I head down the street and pick up stuff to make it.

Every so often will make a trip to a bigger store like Albertsons or Costco to stock the freezer and pantry with easy stuff.

EDIT - Oh, it is two of us and we both work nontraditional jobs at weird times. We also both don't eat breakfast or do much snacking. There's not a real need to do structured grocery shopping.

I can understand larger families going twice a week, but every day for a married couple? Y’all go to the grocery store more regularly than my bowel movements.

I think you're picturing it differently than it pans out in reality. I'm not stopping at WalMart where the parking lot, large store, and long lines are a thing. I agree those types of trips are miserable and I avoid them as much as possible.

But I don't even pass a traffic light to get to my grocery store. It is almost like driving through the neighborhood. And my store has probably never had more than 2 people in line at once.

It also shares a parking lot with my happy hour spot, so.. convenient.

I probably go to Rouses 4-5 times a week.
I do a Costco run about once every two weeks.

Probably 3-4 times a week. One big run on Sundays, and then we inevitably forgot something or want to do something different.

But I walk right past a grocery store on my way home from work, so it's not a big deal.

Same here. It's just a neighborhood grocery store.I can be in and out in 10 minutes if I already know what I want and it's right by the house.

Pretty much daily, Oweo... we don’t even think about dinner until 3pm day of. We always try to order for a couple of meals but end up stopping in for random shite anyway. Literally no organization in our grocery strategy. Been that way for 15 years.

Big shop once a week on a Sunday or Monday afternoon. Then a weekend provisions shop on Friday afternoon. My wife will go by trader Joe's once a week for whatever she buys there. Just me and my wife.

Budget $150/week.

Christ. How much processed food are you eating?

We cook nightly, decent meals. 4 of us, usually 5 thanks to my daughter's friend basically living here. We spend $250-300 on the weekly trip and usually have another mid-week trip or two at $50-60 (midweeks include beer).

$150/week would make my budget look much better.
