I think this is based on SALARY of these people, not the total their business makes. Otherwise a lot of people can make the 300K plus to be in that category as a small business owner.

Delaware surprised me. I guess you needn't claim residence.

That’s why it’s top 1%, there are 99% of the population that don’t make that. I’m sure in the ot the number that make that much would be 50% at least

I feel bad. My wife and I are dragging this down a little bit.
Sorry to the rest of you folks in this group.

I wouldn't have thought Louisiana was near that high.

Interesting. Wife and I skirt into there. I certainly don't feel capable of living a "rich" lifestyle.
I feel the same way. I'm comfortable but don't live a lifestyle I would consider extravagant. Plus the more money you make the more expenses you have so it all balances out.

1% but like 40% of the posters in this thread claim they make it
$350k a year is a shite ton of money unless you own your own successful business, are one hell of a salesman, or work in high finance. I work for a Fortune 500 company and a senior VP makes right around $200k/yr. You could have a household with a senior VP and a nurse practitioner making $100K/year and still be well outside the top 1%.

Get in front of a new Mercedes and watch closely. When driver starts fricking with cell phone slam on brakes and let then rear end you. Embellish injuries and call Morris Bart. The 1% is waiting for you.

Meh, if I needed validation I would go buy a fancy foreign car instead of driving my 2012 Tubdra. We put most of our money back into growing our business and planning to retire instead of trying to live like OT ballers.

Well aren’t you special

The OT is the only place in the world where a 1% household income "doesn't feel rich."

This thread will be filled with truth.

That's great. It's just funny to see someone consider annual investment returns as income unless it's realized returns.

You think a lot of people are clearing 300k of personal income per year? Really? Even most small business owners don't clear that. No one gives a shite if it's salary, hourly, capital gains, gambling wins, etc......income is income.
