Why not? I like those to be honest. And while I would not pay $75 for a cut, I can definitely tell the difference between my old $15-$18 cuts and my current $40 cut.

Mine is usually $17 and I just make it an even $20. Not sure if that's appropriate or not, but I haven't gotten any ugly looks.

This. And I'm kinda annoying. I very rarely have cash on when I go there so I tell them I'm going to the arm to get money out. Hopefully that sends the right message.

I'm with you. I enjoy the MVP experience @ Sports Clips. I'm a senior, so I get a small discount. The cut is $20 and I typically add $5.

Can't you just put the tip on your debit/credit card?

If they are rude, $3

If it's my go-to white trash milf that rubs her crotch on my hand, $7

I don't understand the practice of tipping a stylist. $15 for a 15 minute cut. That's $60 an hour. Meanwhile, waiters make $2 something an hour. Let's save our tips for those who fricking need them!

The place I used to go was $17. I always gave a $20. Then they upped it to $19, and I had to either keep a few $1s handy, or give $25. Then they went up to $22, and I just went back to the $3 tip. When they went up to $24, I quit going there.

They had a lot of turnover, and it was always a different girl, and I had to see which ones did the best work. Ended up with some going too short a few times. Or jacking up the back of my head. I'd finally find one that cut it nice, and she would be gone the next time I went in. Plus they were always busy after work, and that's the only time I could go since it was near my house. Calling to get an appointment, and it would either be 5:15 which I couldn't do, or 6:45, and cut into my evening.

The place I go to now I can walk to from work, and be back in my desk in 20 minutes. They charge $22, and I don't mind it as much because both girls do a great job, plus they shave your neck with a straight razor. I tip them $3. Usually have $25 on me, or $30. The only downside is they are cash only, so I always have to hit up the ATM before going.

I only pay $12 for a haircut and I tip $3, so 25%.
