I will be so mad if this movement to forgive student debt gets seriously considered by Washington DC...

Considering students owe the govt 1.2 trillion there's no shot in hell.

Zero now, but it took my wife and I ten years to pay ours off. Don't remember what the monthly payment was. Imagine having to pay back something you OWE.

I pay $4,200 a month (tuition) for two kids so they don't have to take out student loans. I'm not anti-student loans, but Washington really bends them over with these outrageous interest rates.

It has doubled in less than 10 years. Something has got to be done. Washington's essentially fricking over the wrong people. These are people who will have higher incomes and more money to spend. We're sure quick to give it away to the needy (and a lot of the times, useless), but someone who is trying to advance their degree/education/income, we'll frick over royally.

They choose to invest in themselves poorly with student loans. Stupid should hurt, and hurt financially. Education is not a right, stealing money from others is a crime...so much fail in reasoning with many folks today.

I believe private loans are equally as high.

But I'm white sooooooo.... privilege.

Not expecting my debt to go anywhere regardless.

Can't afford the degree...don't get it. No one is putting a gun to their head for and forcing them to incur loans. However, you are essentially putting a gun to tax payers head to steal their money if you forgive student loans. Jesus, you need to use your ability to reason here bud.

What about doctors?

Should they have to come from people who can afford medical school tuition?
