Last summer I went to an ATM at a gas station and saw $40 sitting there in the slot. I really wanted to take it, but I felt guilty. I turned it in to the attendant, who said "oh, I think I know whose that is." Right, she kept it.

Just don't be mad when your kid gets cancer.

Ouch my daughter was born with neuroblastoma and I wouldn't take it. I wonder what I did wrong?

Whenever I see money or anything of value just lying around and I have an opportunity to take it, I always feel like there's a hidden camera watching me and I'm going to end up on some prime time hidden camera show.

I just ask myself what would Jesus do.

Lost? They left it behind. No doubt it was a POS move on my part, but if you need $20 and dish soap then you shouldn't be so careless.

The attendant came by and found the soap after I had started at the other self check out. Maybe the attendant would have happened upon the $20 like myself, decided to steal it, and gets caught then fired and winds up living in a van down by the river. I spared him the moral agony which now plagues me.

Not with the current value of the peso. You are better off buying calling cards

I pay the Mexican that cuts my grass $20/hour. Your family needs to move.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. Large businesses almost never have security cameras in their stores.

Lol at at these posters acting like you are stealing supper out of some poor families mouths. If you turned that cash in i promise it wouldn't have made it back to the right full owner.

$20 is a cheap lesson in taking better care of your finances.

Lol at surrendering your dignity over a fricking 20

I was going to say this.

Isn't this what a prostitute does?

You should set your standards ahead of time instead of trying to do it in the checkout line at Kroger.

I went to Wal Mart last year and found a $20 bill in the parking lot on the way in. I looked around and didn't see anyone near it so I went in and shopped. On my way out there was a Hispanic woman asking for money for gas or whatever and I gave it to her. I usually ignore those people, I also rarely carry cash, but I figured it was a karma thing and just handed it over.

So you robbed a person of $20, and you robbed this poor attendant of the opportunity to live on the riverfront?

You should ba ashamed of yourself.

No need to worry with today's technology it's all on video. If someone calls and a=says they lost money there they WILL go back and check video.
