Upper middle class areas will stay the same.
These people can afford to send their kids to private school. Just will just have more hoods around them.
Lower middle class and older middle class areas will go down turning into ghettos.

Well, yeah, but the state is Louisiana.

I can definitely see the northeastern area of the city continuing to turn to shite. Sherwood, etc... it’s just a bland, ugly area. If I moved back to BR, which I never will, there’s only a few areas I’d consider living. All being south of LSU and west of Perkins.

My property value in Livingston tripled last night

Old joke in EBR-
Judge Parker received a lifetime achievement award from property developers in Ascension and Livingston parishes thanks to his work on the EBR deseg case.
Ascension saw 20% increases in home sales while Livingston doubles the sales of double-wides and tripled the sale of triple-wides.

Wonder what’s going to happen with home values in Broadmoor, Tara, Southdowns and Capital Heights neighborhoods?

I think they'll be fine Paul unless something else changes like massive tax increases. A lot of people don't care which school district they live in and plan on sending their kid to a Christian school anyway.

I’ll bet Southdowns stays consistent along with Cap Heights. Those cottage style homes will always have a niche. Broadmoor, Tara, etc.. not so much. Doubt ppl are going to spend the money to update those old ranch homes.

Exactly. People thinking those neighborhoods in BR are going to suddenly become bad just because of St George are clueless. The majority of people who live in Ascension and Livingston commute to BR for work everyday. I think those communities will be affected the most by St. George. Now you will have a city with a quality public school with a much shorter and easier commute to work and entertainment options in BR.

Yea, but significantly more expensive to live in compared to Ascension and Livingston. Bad argument.
