How much money would you accept to quit your job?
My job is actually pretty decent and lenient as well, so it would have to be a nice bit for me. I'd need to be able to retire unless I knew I had something better waiting for me and that's why I quit.
I'm only 30, so possibly nding on how much coke and hookers I'd plan on having after I quit.

Two years salary. I would take a nice vacation, then start figuring out what I want to do next. Keep in mind you also lose any benefits you have such as health insurance, 401K match, gas, cell phone, etc. I think two years salary would set me up nicely to have nearly a year off until starting a new job.

$30k and i'm not looking back. I don't overly enjoy my job, could use the money, don't get paid enough, and would like to start again somewhere

I'd say around $250k. That would give me enough time to redo my portfolio on a beach while getting hammered drunk.
