For me, it's between 50-200k. Not bragging either.
You shouldn't be bragging how stupid you are for keeping that amount in a checking account.

I had 700k but I took half of it to invest in a trucknut Llc in Lafayette/New Iberia. I have half of it left, so whatever half of 700k is...

Why the shite would you want to have that much money just sitting in a savings account?
Depends how long it takes to accumulate.
If you save 200k in savings over 25 yrs. Silly.
200k in 5 years..not a huge problem.

It varies.
For instance, right now there is very little but as soon as the millions from my long lost Nigerian Royalty uncles hit, I'll have plenty.

No it doesn't. Savings accounts should be nothing more an emergency supplement to checking. Invest your money for frick's sake.

Always overdrawn and owe about 375.00 in fees.
What is this savings thingy you speak of?

Found the guy who knows nothing about money.

100k is a great supplement. I like 20k vacations every 2 years. The rest? I don't feel like getting taxed on my gains.

So you'd rather lose money due to inflation than gain money and pay a modest amount of capital gains?

Gains are only taxed when they are withdrawn. You would rather have a smaller GAIN when you withdraw, than a net LOSS by leaving it in an account that doesn't beat inflation?
You and the OP go together like peas and carrots.

50-200K is a pretty big fluctuation.
Are you telling us there are months that you spend in excess of $100,000?
