So now it is including an engine that doesn't exist and what other options?

I've been driving my rubicon for years. Not sure if they make them like mine anymore. I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. I know they are pretty luxurious now and are even auto transmission.

That 4.0 inline six was a beast
That's whats in my 2001 Sport. 122K miles and have never had any issues. I've had it since brand new and it was my everyday vehicle for about 6 years...which accounted for the first 100K. I think I paid about 18K for it, the only "luxury" item I wanted was a CD player

No it doesnt. in fact they(Hemis) fit perfectly in the current models. LS motors fit even better. Only major obstetrical is they use different engine mounts. I have a 6.4 in my JK.
You change some parts on the V8 and I'll do the same on the current 6 and then we can talk.
Maintenance is far easier with the new Pentastar, easier still with the 4.0L I6 and it's a far better platform for what the Jeep was designed for. There are actual reasons they used these setups. Anyone that doesn't understand this, or that can't figure out how to go anywhere with the new 6 or the older 4.0l engine, or even the old stock I6's on CJ's, doesn't know Jeeps or how to drive them.
The western U.S. was settled by people in wagons that weighed at least a ton, pulled by one or two horses. If you can't figure out how to go over similarly rough terrain in a modern vehicle with a couple hundred HP, then you're just retarded. This infatuation with putting V8's in Jeeps is nothing more than an excuse to waste money and show off ignorance.

Idk but it really sucks that such a once reliable and badass vehicle has fallen victim to Chrystler’s shitty way of building vehicles. The Jeep brand has suffered.
If Toyota built the Grand Cherokee, I'd have owned 5 by now

Yes and No
A CJ, TJ, JK a V8 isn't needed provided it stays stock (no lift or tires), do not pull a trailer or loaded down with gear.
The CJ's had a the 304 V8 as an option, it was great.
But once you start modding, lifted w/ 35/38 inch tires loaded with gear and pulling a trailer, the I6 and V6 is working hard on the interstate especially with hills.
The V8 should be an option for the Wrangler point blank.

Than the current Hemis? I am pretty sure its the same.

$$$ is the reason
quote:Once you put larger tires on, you have to regear for these engines you list. A reasonable vehicle shouldnt have to have gearing above 5:1

The transmissions on the hemis are more stout as well.

Yes comparing the accessibility of horses and cars is logical

There is a reason why V8s and diesels rule the roost in the industry vs the v6 and i6 and it is where the torque is on the powerband and how much of it there is.
The gas 6's were chosen simply because of economical reasons

2015 Jeep Trailhawk v6 with 2 inch lift is what I want. I can’t seem to find any.
