How much do you pay for electricity each month on average?

Long story short, I just moved to Oxford, MS and dealing with NE MS Electric. In my previous homes, I averaged give or take $60-$80 a month. $80 was maybe July when I was home running AC all day. Here, after one week, I am on pace for over $200...they said my usage was about 55kW/day. I am curious if this is reasonable to others or if this is just a much more expensive company.
ETA: I did have a gas bill in my others which was about $40/months...so, maybe $100-120 total between them. Still, way higher here and I just cannot figure out what I am doing differently.

There is no way you averaged close to $80 if your hottest month with running the AC all day was $80. You may be on pace for a high month right now because it is insanely hot, and then you'll make up for it in winter with a couple $30 bills. I paid $150 last month FWIW.

$400+ but I have two zones upstairs and downstairs and the upstairs runs almost constantly in the 90+ weather. Damnit.

I had a house of 1100 sq. ft. This one is 1300 sq. ft. They have never been large homes. I always turn off the AC when I leave for work and live with it 78 degrees when I am home. I am extraordinarily conservative on money usage to things like this.

So far its been a high of about 275 last month and 120 in the winter. 4000sqft and 3 units. I have to say I am happy with the results so far.

Current bill is $225. Previous one was $197. Winter get as low as $110 or so.

3500 sq ft house....right now around $200, in winter/fall months it is around $70 or $80

OK, now we're getting somewhere. For that usage pattern and house size, 55 kWh/day does sound high. It could be an old, very inefficient AC, or the AC could be running excessively despite the high set point, possibly due to malfunction or poor house insulation, etc. Is is blowing cold air?
