I just moved into a new place two months ago and my two bills have been $55 and $53. That's with my AC running all day and set to 72 degrees.

I have no insulation in the walls, minimum in the attic - a 50 year old house, ~2000 sq. feet, in Central Louisiana, and I average about $200 a month over the year (peak is over $300 - low months are around $100).

I have gas heat and water heater - everything else is electric.

The number of 3k sq ft houses on this site is astonishing. I just built a 350k house and its 2800 heated and cooled. With an additional 2100 basement and garage and it's fricking HUGE.

Either inflated numbers or good lord that's a lot of house!

Sorry about the small pad. One day you might get a big house.

July was 85. That's the high for the year. My house is empty most of the time because I work a lot and spend time at the girlfriends. I just leave the AC off until I need it.

Usually in the $170's. Sometimes its cheaper during spring or fall. I have had higher bills in winter than I have during the summer.

3000 sq ft house in Dubai averages $1000 per month. Disgusting. Few hundred in the winter and a couple thousand in the summer.

$350, 3800 sq ft house, 2 ac units, a pool and a family of 4. My wife washes clothes 24/7. I have leveled billing so I know what I'm paying every month.

I would be ecstatic with only a $400 electricity bill in the summer. Sign me up!
