Hell yes. I built my Landmaster in an Advance Auto Parts parking lot.

I had a windshield wiper transmission break while on the I-10 bridge crossing into MS during a massive downpour.

Talk about pucker factor

We reached an autoparts store where I stripped out the broken transmission and replaced it with a new one. Got back on the road in less than an hour.

I'd like to personally thank GM for putting shitty plastic caps on the hinges allowing for them to break and almost kill my family.

Last week I replaced my battery in the Auto Zone parking lot. The last time one of the guys replaced the battery for me. This time I got the "we don't do that". It was a PITA because I had to take all kinds shields off and replace the negative cable. There is no reason that it should be that difficult to change a freakin battery. It took me about an hour.

Well a battery is like a 15-20 minute job max. Changing cables should take longer. I rarely change them in the parking lot, but have a few times.

I’ve changed a headlight or brake light bulb once or twice after realizing it was blown while driving.

Actually had a sales "assistant" tell me my vehicle didn't have daytime running lamps, thus the socket I was looking for didn't exist. I proceeded to walk to my vehicle, retrieved the socket (broke it trying to put in new LED's) and walked inside to show him. His response was "Whoa, look at that. I didn't know they had those. You sure that was from your car?"

The car is an Infiniti and the battery has it's own compartment at the back of the engine bay. It is really cramped AF. Autozone had it on their computer that it would take 45 minutes. Replacing the negative cable was a breeze once you get all the crap out of the way. Fitting the battery in was a pain because there is some type junction for wires right in the battery compartment. The designers were laughing at this round eye.

Battery or wiper blades pretty much every time they're needed. I've actually been 3 times since Sept... a battery for my truck and my wife's car, and a new set of wiper blades on my truck. Come to think of it, I've probably replaced a tail light once or twice. That's pretty much the extent of my auto repair abilities though.

2 radiators, 3 starters, an alternator and a complete brake job front and rear. So 7 times.

Over 60 years, Battery 2X, Head light 2X, turn signal light 1X, Brake light 1X, added antifreeze 1X, windshield wiper blades 5-6X.

Saw a family (Mom and Dad and five or six little kids) looked like they were changing out their brake pads once, over to the side. They had an old car up on jack with a big Uhaul trailer behind them. Felt sorry for them, but did not offer to help. Was late at night on an interstate frontage road. Yes, the Autozone guy was out there like a real trooper helping them.

Must be some good folks to work at those parts stores.

I let them put the battery in, if I have the car with me.
