1. Parents 80 year old neighbor somehow beat the odds and made it out of ICU after like a week and a half.

80 year olds actually only have a 14% mortality rate

So odds are still greatly in their favor actually

The only person I know personally is my cousin who caught it probably over a week ago. She is doing ok from last I heard. She is about 36 and not obese or anything so I wasnt concerned at all when I heard she tested positive. Although she did say for about a day or 2 she was extremely sick, and couldnt even manage to walk up the stairs. But since then she has gotten better and almost over it.

At this point I wish I could self infect myself with this just so I can get it over with and move on.

There has been 700 deaths in Louisiana

Only about .01% of our population

I think I have counted 100 “known” Louisiana deaths in this thread

Impressive probability

Even more impressive when you compare the demographics of those deaths to the demographics of the typical TD poster.

Is your friend fat? Serious question

I'm at two confirmed, one was never hospitalized, one is in the hospital now. One unconfirmed, he was never tested as it was early on and he was young/healthy, but he had every symptom.

5 total. My cousin and his wife, two of my dad’s friends and one of my coworkers. One of my dad’s friends is the only one still sick and he has lots of medical problems. This is the New Orleans metro area.

1 old high school friend, they put him in quarantine for 2 weeks in a hotel outside Baltimore. He's freaking out he can't leave for any reason they are going to bring him food call him to tell it's outside his door. This guy was pretty fit outside everyday. Hope he beats it
