A couple of summers ago I am in Gulf Shores for a weekend (after canceling a trip to Italy due to covid) with my wife (no pics), and I’m ordering a margarita at the pool bar, and some guy behind me says, “Hey, are you Slippy?”

I don't know IRL. Seems all the Earls I know spell their name different. Must be from CA.

Just 1. Guy I’ve known for over 40 years. He used to be a well known poster on the outdoor board. He made a post one day that was identical to a Facebook post he made the same day. I rarely post and his posts are rare these days so I’ve never let him know I figured him out. Other than that I’ve known a couple that lurk here, but none admit to having a username.

There are posters that would use the opportunity in a second to throw a wrench in your irl life by exposing your shite posting knowing damn well people that have never read the OT would view your post in the improper lens

My boss figured out my screen name. Doesn’t help that there’s only a handful of women here.
Hubby obviously knows my username but he doesn’t post anymore because it’s too much of a time sucker.
