there is reason for ample concern for southern tangi.
when it turns whatever eyewall is left (and it’s not weakening at the moment) is going right over our heads. Hammond and ponchatoula have never seen sustained winds like that in our lifetimes

we all know how heavily wooded the area is.
it has the potential for catastrophe

not to be a doomsdayer but I’m expecting to be homeless and if by some miracle I’m not, I’ll take it

Power out for good in Old Mandeville, 1 block from lake. Gusting 50ish, though still no water on lakefront yet.

Thanks for the update.

Trust you’ve got your drink of choice and a generator running.

the Entergy outage map is following the storm north as expected. New Orleans metro and points south and west are all red and the red is creeping into AP. BR and tangi will be next this evening

Any water issues? What street are you on? Wind? Pines holding?
Good luck man

Saving the portable generator for the 3 freezers and portable ac when we need it. Working on a Jucifer case right now and keeping an eye on the lake surge.

My shop in N Covington still has power and doesn’t look to be getting much wind from my cameras.

We have had some really good gusts. So far I still have power, but it won’t be long before I lose it. I’m on 15th in Covington, not far from Gallagher Park.

I’m off of Judge Tanner
Power flickered a few times.

Only a matter of minutes until we’re out.
