Best thing I ever saw at a concert was at the first skynyrd reunion show at the Centroplex (as the River Center was known then). Front of our section, at the rail, standing up all night was a black guy waving a confederate flag. Not what I expected to see that might.

I’ve been out to the crash site the last couple of years and it is such a pleasure hanging with Skynyrd brethren. Fans, music, crash survivors, the stories, hell even Gene Odom was there this last October. For some reason that seems more real to me than getting excited to see the band these days.
