I’ve been furloughed till we open up. I call every couple days to see if anything changed. I’m so ready to go back to work and I get more unemployed.

Working two days a week now to make sure everything keeps running so we can open back up easily when the time comes. Still getting full paycheck.
Gonna be hard going back after these 5 day weekends. All this gardening and fishing is way better than work

March 23rd for me, company paid us for 32 hours the first two weeks. We were furloughed with no pay starting last week and are out until at least the 27th.

Were you considered a salary professional employee? Just curious if your employer took advantage of you when things were good.

Yes. Our company was reducing staff before the whole COVID-19 mess and I was in the middle of taking a transfer overseas when COVID shut down everything. I went from preparing to move back overseas to furlough in a matter of days. I wasn't the only one who had their transfers suddenly put on hold.

I own a small completely non-essential record shop that has been closed since March 15th.
Laid off 2 employees so they can get unemployment (or wait on the phone all day for weeks to get through to them) but I have some money saved as long as I can open back up by May and people have a little money to spend.
Hope there's gonna be a lot of alcohol / hand sanitizer available by then if I open back up.

I was doing doordash for a few months, but decided I wanted more stable employment, so I had a job lined up to start around the 20th of March. I saw what was happening and decided I'd rather wait until I knew more about how hard this thing was going to hit Ada County. Very fortunately, my wife has a job where she was already working from home so I had the privilege of choosing to stay home, do the housework, grocery shopping, etc. until we figured it out. the stimulus will help a lot, but even with schoolwork to do, I am getting pretty bored. Only so much you can workout and watch TV before you need something else.
This past week I've been applying to jobs and I'm pretty sure this one sawmill I'm emailing with wants to interview me. Our cases have been dipping down every day. Currently we are at 1,426 cases and 27 deaths and our largest case count and death toll was right at the beginning of April. I feel like I know enough now to say it's safe to go back to work as long as proper distances are kept.

I'm making 0 revenue in my business but still working at least 40 hours a week. Really sucks. Filed for the PPP but nothing back yet. I wish I had a reason to just close shop right now and do yard work and fish, but I have to do some things and stay around the phone and computer for future business deals already in the works.
