When I was a kid it was certainly common to see semi-fat (not morbidly obese, but not merely dad bod soft) dudes with pretty in shape women.

That's changed, although candidly it's probably just as much because professional guys are less fat these days than it is some changing female preference/priority. Still pretty common to see a dad bod guy whose only real physical activity is golf with a obsessed yoga mom.

Well, it didn't start off as a mixed weight relationship.

It's not really the weight that bothers me. It's the health issues that can come along with it. Also, the fact that she can no longer even come close to keep up with me physically bothers the hell out of me.

When are they going to start promoting height positivity? Asking for a short male friend of mine that isn’t me.

Kind of wild to me that it's OK to make fun of men or say they have less value due to things they can't change but it's not ok to do the same to women about things they can change.

It doesn't bother me, just always noticed it.

Yes, there’s a significant weight difference between my right hand and the rest of me.

It would bother me too. They always seem to have an excuse for not doing fun things or things to keep themselves up.

My buddy’s ex after trying to help her lose the weight and get a better image of herself, had to throw in the towel.

She was the type that would complain about going to the tanning bed because it was too hot lol

Let’s just say I wasn’t in such a relationship for the first several years.

Then this ole baw started consuming a little too much gravy and fried foods. An apricot glazed salmon for dinner doesn’t do much to combat the double chicken fried steak I had for lunch.

It's weird seeing that image. Today, women her size are everywhere in movies and TV. Back then, her size was a punchline.

Its crazy how the world has changed.

Admittedly I weigh 140 lb more than my wife

When we met, I was probably 190 lb more than her.

I mean I'm not going to aim down when shooting my shot...

What kind stupid arse question is this? I’m not staying in a relationship because we both like a bolognese. Eating takes up less than 1 hours of my day. Thats .0694% of the minutes in a day. Great so we have something that we share that takes up than less than 1% if my day. And that’s if I eat every meal with them. But let’s say I have a 2 hour dinner all 7 nights if the week with them. Now we are at .1388% if the week. So I should want them for a relationship because we share a decimal point of an interest. So that’s not having a commonality. That’s lower than an accounting error.

I was in a long term relationship once with a girl I dated out of college. During the 2 year period she blew up, gaining 30-40lbs, and I didn’t see it slowing down.

She was always that young, hot girl with bad habits and fat parents.

Anyway, after a few months of positive encouragement…I finally told her I would never propose unless she lost weight and proved she could change her lifestyle to be more healthy. She tried a few times, but could never stick to anything for more than a week. It’s was always this event, that birthday, or vacation….

About three months after giving the ultimatum, I broke it off. Ran into her a few years after that and she had blown up in a full blown fatty and couldn’t look me in the eye.

I had a similar situation but she did make considerable lifestyle changes and kept the weight off. I eventually proposed and we were happily married for many years. Now we are happily divorced
