2 shotguns, 2 rifles, 2 revolvers and a semi-auto. 5 of the 7 were left to me by my dad a couple of years ago.

What brand is the scope? I'm assuming it's a red dot.
Aimpoint Micro T1. one of the GOATs IMO. I took an Advanced Carbinecraft class a few weekends ago and more than half the class used Aimpoints. they're slick and have over 5yr battery life off a single CR2032. I leave mine on setting 8 (the first 6 are Night Vision settings) and have never turned it off.

Let's go get them. The only way we will survive.

Cool. I'll look into it. I've been thinking of dropping some money on the EOTech with STS, but can't bring my self to spend $$$ on a sight.

I own some little POS pistol that my dad got me a couple of years ago. Sits in its bag, unloaded, locked. If I needed it I'd never get to it in time, and I'm not a gun hobbyist. Not really sure why my dad got it for me, I've never had an interest.

I own two:
A glock .40 and an AR-15

Reminds me of a joke I once heard.
Alfred Briggs was a prisoner in a high security jail, serving a thirty year sentence. In his youth he had been famous for robbing gun stores all over the country.
Even after he was arrested, tried and sentenced, Alfred had kept his secrets and no one had ever discovered where the guns were hidden. He was married and his wife, Sally, sent him regular letters about everyday problems at home.
Alfred knew for a fact that his letters were opened and read by the authorities, but still he enjoyed receiving the news from home.
One day Alfred was given a letter from his wife. He opened it and read, 'Dear Alfred, I've decided to plant some potatoes in the back garden near to the white fence. When do you think is the best time for potatoes to be planted?'
Alfred wrote this in reply, 'Dear Sally, You can plant potatoes in two or three weeks' time, but whatever you do, don't plant them in the back garden. This is very important! Please don't plant them there!'
A week later, Alfred was given another letter from his wife. 'Dear Alfred, You won't believe this! Last week ten policemen arrived at the house and dug up all of the back garden.'
Alfred wrote back, ' Dear Sally, Now is the best time to plant potatoes.'

with that LRP QD mount, it retails for around $850 in local shops. If you'd like to keep it at a lower price, check out the ACO and the PRO (both made by Aimpoint). Great options for the $400-$450 range. You really get what you pay for with optics

I had some, but loss them in a tragic boating accident last year.
That's crazy, I carried mine outside during a house fire and accidentally set my wife's mink coat on top of them.
God damned Marshall eagle swooped down and flew off with all of them.

Don't own one. Just wasn't raised around them or anything. Dont have any issue with anyone who does though. Majority of the people I'm friends with own guns, I just have never felt compelled to own one.
Same, except I don't think any of my gfs own guns. My uncle killed himself with a gun when I was very young so my dad(his younger brother) was totally against guns in the home after that(can't say I blame him really). My husband owned guns when he was a cop long ago. After he left the force and turned in his weapons he just never bought another one, although I know he wouldn't mind owning another one one day. I told him I'm cool with it if he ever wanted to....just let me take a gun safety class first and learn how to properly use it first.

Well that's dumb. What are you going to do, throw it at someone? Man up, learn to shoot it, protect your shite.

I have a clean record and all my guns are registered, they would be wasting their time.
