Very very very very very wrong.

She wouldn’t get 10% of the vote. She’d get crushed.

Moreno will be exponentially more honest and less self serving but also may push for policies just as leftist or even more so. Ultimately compounding those policies into the future could be "worse" while her being less of a grifter than Latoya.

She’s sent govt money to so many people around town that she’ll have no issue getting a job where she’s paid enough to keep her happy and she’ll barely have to work. She’s not dumb she just doesn’t give a shite about anyone but herself.

Moreno is a true believer. I hate the two party system but, my God, does New Orleans need some red in it's lineage. One party in control since before Reconstruction is disastrous

I 100% agree, but can’t we say the same for Baton Rouge, Shreveport, many other small towns in the state, etc?
And we can say the same for La in general. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a decent governor or even one to vote for.

Helena Moreno may be many things but she is not a grifter. New Orleans is in bad shape, think of the past eight years as an abusive relationship. What the city needs is exactly what Moreno can provide…a calming presence by someone who has genuine interest in the business of governing and is not a fricking retarded hood rat. Cantrells complete lack of interest in anything other than herself and the power of her office has been damaging to the city’s psyche, Moreno is just the type of person to help recover from that.

She’s a smart woman, with leadership talent. I’m encouraged that she’s the front runner and I’d vote for her if I could, politics be damned

what has been disastrous for New Orleans is lack of leadership talent and corruption…in the past few decades the damage has been done by the incompetence of the black political elite and their white enablers. Incompetence in power positions breeds apathy and resentment among the governed and a complete lack of trust that the city’s needs are being met and resources are being used wisely. What New Orleans needs is a leader

Go ahead and believe that if you want. History says I am accurate. I bet you said this when she was on her first term also.

AST good governor we have had was Mike Foster. Before that I don’t know how far back you have to go to find a good one. Likely before any of us were alive.

Republicans have zero desire to enter the conversation. They just sit outside and bitch and start social media accounts complaining.

Cantrell has been the worst mayor in the history of mayors, the only thing close to her complete failure has been Marion Barry. It’s easy to look from the outside and say that the problem is the electorate and there plenty of evidence of that, but that is underselling the damage that Cantrell herself has done to this city. It cannot be overstated how awful she has been

Moreno is what the left used to be from a fiscal standpoint. Socially, she’s as lefty as they come, which is unfortunate, but she will seem like the second coming of JFK compared to Teedy’s embarrassing ghetto ugly arse!

here’s the thing and I truly believe this and it’s actually sad but it’s the reality…you cannot have a member of the entitlement class in charge of solving the problems that the entitlement class presents to a functioning community, it doesn’t work.

Oliver Thomas for example is beholden to the entitlement class, Helena Moreno is not

Oliver Thomas is a crook and until black folks see past color and realize that just because your skin looks the same it doesn’t mean that person has your best interest at heart nothing will change.

I live here. You are wrong. No one ran against her because they didn’t want to deal with the Covid aftermath, among other things.

She would lose. Badly. It would not be close. She wouldn’t have any funding.

Stick to things you know about.

Just to be clear: Oliver Thomas who is smarter but just as big of a POS might win so this is not say NOLA voters are smart.

Just that Teedy is very very deeply unpopular and would lose very badly.
