You small minded piss ants go right to thinking that anyone who wants to drop out of the system has now become a leach on society. That is an easy scapegoat to make yourself feel better about your fake materialistic life. I had the 6 figure job with a nice house, car and boat in Charleston, SC and left it for a cabin on 50 acres of wooded mountain in New England. I have "enough" money and health insurance paid for by my own hard work. I never said stop all commerce...I said the economy is not more important than 1 single life. Think ahead, consider the poasibilties, be prepared and ready to adapt for when these things happen so you folks aren't all out here whining about making your car note for your precious little prick extension on wheels. It is called personal responsibility...get you some!

100-150K deaths isn't enough to grind the country to a halt. Sucks for the ones that died, but the other 99.7% of the country need an actual economy to live in, not some knockoff Venezuela after 6 months of shutdown

Reference my last post in this thread and add that I took a job here in New England with a small hardware store at about a 60% pay cut part time while I got the homestead up and running and squared away. I am now fully functional and help them out when they need it, so yes technically I am still with them.

I said nobody needs all the materialistic nonsense and should have some personal responsibility to be prepared for these situations. If you have a 401k or other retirement plan that you are shitting you pants about right now, maybe you should have had a little better foresight to have a root cellar and a fully producing garden...it is better than money! And money or a fancy car won't mean shite if the system collapses, people and your provisions will be everything.
